The four stages of Mitosis!
- Prophase is chromatin condenses into tightly coiled duplicated chromosomes. The nuclear membrane breaks down.
- Metaphase is when the chromosomes line up in the middle of the cell.
- Anaphase are sister chromatids that separate to opposite sides of the cell.
- Telophase are when the nuclear membranes start to form again. Chromosomes begin to uncoil
- Cytokinesis divides cytoplasm between two daughter cells, each with a genetically identical nucleus. The cells enter interphase and begin the cycle again.
